Kyiv. November 24. UNN. As a result of a large-scale invasion, Russian troops killed at least 440 children in Ukraine, injured more than 1,287. This was reported in Telegram by the Prosecutor General’s Office, informs UNN.
“More than 1,287 children were injured in Ukraine during 9 months of large-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation. According to official information from juvenile prosecutors, as of the morning of November 24, 2022, 440 children died and more than 847 were injured to varying degrees of severity,” the post read.
On November 23, as a result of enemy rocket fire in Kyiv, a minor was killed and a 17-year-old girl was injured.
It was also learned of the death of a 13-year-old boy who was seriously injured in the village of Antonivka, Kherson region, due to an enemy projectile hitting a car.
On November 23, six children between the ages of 5 and 16 were injured as a result of rocket fire in Vyshgorod, Kyiv region.
Children were most affected in Donetsk region – 424, Kharkiv region – 266, Kyiv region – 117, Mykolaiv region – 77, Zaporizhia region – 76, Chernihiv region – 68, the Kherson region – 67, the Lugansk region – 64, the Dnipropetrovsk region – 32.
As noted, these figures are not final, as work to establish casualties and deaths in locations of active hostilities, as well as in temporarily captured and liberated territories, is ongoing.
Russian troops damaged 2,719 educational institutions in Ukraine by shelling and shelling, of which 332 were completely destroyed.
