Automaker Nissan will suspend its Russian plant in St. Petersburg from March 10 due to delays in parts.
According to “Vedomosti” with reference to the company’s letter to customers and partners from March 3. A company representative did not confirm or deny the publication.
It is noted that Nissan will soon raise prices for the entire model range in Russia. The company also suspended sales to corporate customers until further notice. Prices for spare parts and accessories will also be reviewed.
The company announced the creation of a fund for 2.5 million euros to support victims in Ukraine. Nissan will donate 1 million euros through the Red Cross Fund and other non-profit organizations.
On March 2, Nissan’s official media resource in Russia announced the suspension of the supply of Nissan Pathfinder to Russia. At the same time, the company did not rule out the cessation of production at the plant in St. Petersburg.
