Since the first days of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Maltese Relief Service of Ivano-Frankivsk has prepared about 330,000 portions of food and 110,000 portions of tea. Back in the days of the Euromaidan, the Maltese provided food to the fighters for the independence of Ukraine.
“Given the current situation, it is important for every citizen to keep his finger on the pulse and know basic cooking in a field kitchen. Responding to the challenges of fate and the “war without rules” initiated by the aggressor state, we need to know how to provide for ourselves in unfavorable conditions (in the absence of electricity, gas, etc.),” the message reads.
That’s why MSD volunteers decided to hold a training course so that all those willing could acquire the knowledge that is necessary in the current conditions. Anyone willing will have the opportunity to acquire new skills and learn from the Maltese the skills and experience we have acquired over the years.
The training will take place on October 8-9 in front of the Cathedral (Ivano-Frankivsk), informs “Halka” with reference to “Western Courier”.
– October 8 – 12:00 and 15:00: theoretical classes
– October 9 – 8:30 a.m.: practical lesson – cooking borscht in the field kitchen (500 portions).
