Registration is now open for the free Founders Night YQG being held Dec. 1 at St. Clair College’s Zekelman School of Business Alumni Hall.
The celebration will bring together entrepreneurs, start-ups, innovators, entrepreneurial support organizations, leaders and community to connect and build momentum around the local region’s start-up community.
Attendees also get to hear the story of KinkyCurlyYaki CEO Vivian Kaye, a single mom, immigrant, college dropout — and entrepreneur. Kaye’s company offers a premium textured hair extension brand for Black women and has generated $6 million in revenue.
“The past two and a half years have been particularly challenging for both start-ups and well-established small businesses,” said WEtech Alliance CEO/president Yvonne Pilon.
“We’re looking ahead to what’s next and hope that Founders Night YQG serves as a way to reignite our region’s entrepreneurial spirit and drive the future of business in Windsor-Essex.”
The event is open to all aspiring entrepreneurs, business owners, leaders and community members who help build the business community.
Admission is free and includes a YQG Founders Goodie Bag (while supplies last), food and drinks.
Founders Night YQG is a collaboration between WEtech Alliance, WindsorEssex Small Business and Entrepreneurship Centre, EPICentre, Genesis Entrepreneurship Centre and presenting sponsor Zekelman School of Business.
