North of the border is a YouTube channel that creates the most amazing, often gruesome clay models depicting scenes or characters from some of your favorite video games. Whether it be Ring of Elden, breath of the wildOr Pokemonthe site’s creator, Adam, aims to produce remarkably realistic models. Ssometimes, however, they are simply breathtakingly impressive, although occasionally to such a degree that they are officially declared ‘cursed’.
Adam from North of the Border is a deeply talented artist, unafraid to use his abilities for evil. That’s how you end up with a Pikachu you wouldn’t want to show your kidsOr a red M&M that will have you dreaming of Maya Rudolph commercials.
It should also be noted that these videos are also superbly edited and commented. Adam is a witty and entertaining narrator of his own creations, making them fun and fun to watch, along with all sorts of little gags flashed on screen. At the same time, the videos are put together in such a way that you don’t sit around watching a guy smooth a piece of clay on a wire for thirty minutes, but also that you don’t feel disconnected from the process. There are no sudden unreasonable jumps, making you suspect he grabbed a 3D printer mid-run.
We’ve scoured its catalog and chosen our favorite games to share with you. If you love them as much as we do, he has a Patreon it’s worth supporting. And if you’re wondering who officially declares things cursed, it’s US Horror Rating Regulations.
