Nigerian singer Time did the country proud again with his historic 2023 Oscar nomination for his contribution as a songwriter on “Lift Me Up” one of the Marvel soundtracks “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.” Tems co-wrote “Lift Me Up” with world singer Rihannamusic producer Ludwig Goranssonand the director of Black Panther, Ryan Coogler.

The full list of nominations was released on Tuesday, with the multiverse sci-fi hit “Everything, everywhere, all at once” tops the list with 11 nominations. This was followed by the Irish dark comedy “The Banshees of Inisherin” and the First World War film “In the west, nothing is new” nine each. Winners will be honored at the ceremony in Los Angeles on March 12, 2023.
