Every time I get a date reservation for a wedding, you better believe my only mission is to win the title of best dressed guest. Aggressive? May be. But hey, when you work as a shopping editor, you have a certain responsibility to present yourself in your best light – at least, that’s the expectation within my group of friends. With a healthy appetite for formal wear, I’ve discovered a handful of brands that are now my go-to for chic and practical wedding guest dresses, especially when the goal is to make a statement – whether via an unexpected silhouette, bright color or eye-catching print.
Spring 2023 clothing trends run the gamut from 90s inspired formal satin dresses and mini dresses to vibrant (revolutionary!) and sparkling floral prints, Barbiecore-centric styles who are equal parts feminine and fierce. Each of these stylish dresses for wedding guests is sure to make a fresh, edgy statement this season, whether you like midi dresses, tiered skirts or even cropped above-the-knee silhouettes. Another spectacular approach? Elegant fabrics like sequins, metallic materialsand textured tulle (great for a black tie wedding!) or a bright colors stand out from more muted tones; teal, honey yellow, and hot pink are some of my seasonal favorites.
While bold shapes, patterns, and colors are a surefire way to turn heads as a wedding guest, they aren’t the only tactics to apply. Ultimately, fit really is the secret to a “wow” moment, whether you go for a classic silhouette in a less expected hue or try a nuanced silhouette in a subtle hue like navy blue or black. Regardless of what you’re in the market for, I’ve gone ahead and rounded up the 13 best wedding guest dresses for spring, ranging from under $100 options to designer styles. and more.
