RCMP in the Northwest Territories warned residents of Fort Good Hope on Thursday to remain vigilant as they continue their search for the suspect in the stabbing of three people from the community considered armed and dangerous.
One person died in Tuesday night’s attack and two others were seriously injured.
sergeant. Chris Manseau told a press conference in Yellowknife that 24-year-old Thaddeus McNeely was the only suspect.
He said McNeely’s whereabouts were unknown, but police believe he is still at Fort Good Hope.
“Our members are taking a slow, measured approach,” Manseau said. “We want to make sure no one else gets hurt.
“We know the community is worried and we will find him.”
