Fire crews were at the scene of a fire in central Edmonton on Monday morning.
Edmonton Fire and Rescue Services received a call just after 7:45 a.m. regarding a structure fire in the area of 96th Street and 105A Avenue in the Boyle Street/McCauley area.
An EFRS spokesperson said crews had arrived to fine a fire involving an aft deck.
Video from the Global News helicopter showed thick white smoke coming from the house around 8 a.m.
Calls for change after another fire in an abandoned building in downtown Edmonton
Two additional fire crews were called. EFRS said six trucks responded to the fire, which was quickly brought under control at 8:07 a.m.
One person was assessed by EMS, according to the EFRS. However, their condition was not known.
It is not yet known what caused the fire.
